Ω Sword & Owl Shield were the original weapons used by Sophitia during the evens of Soul Edge, where it appeared simply under the name Omega Sword (オメガソード?), before they were replaced by Ω Sword & Elk Shield in later games. It returned in Soulcalibur II under the name Owl Shield (オウルシールド?), where it was one of the weapons that Sophitia could obtain. It appears once again in Soulcalibur VI, except this time wielded by Sophitia's sister, Cassandra, under the name Original Owl Shield & Omega Sword (オウルシールド＆オメガソード（オリジン）?).
Ω Sword[]
A holy weapon given to Sophitia by Hephaestus, the Greek god of forge. This implement of battle was made by Hephaestus himself using a sacred ore, and had divine properties. It suffered heavy damage during the battle with Cervantes, and after his defeat it was retrieved by Hephaestus.

Referred to as simply "Omega Sword", it is the default weapon that is used by Sophitia, Sophitia! and Sophitia!!.
In the Arcade version of Soul Edge, the design of Owl Shield changes depending on what costume is picked for Sophitia. This does not happen on the Playstation version of the game, although the red shield can still be seen on Sophitia's portrait for her 2P costume on the Character Select and Versus screen.

Original Owl Shield & Omega Sword (or "Owl Shield & Omega Sword (Origin)" in Japanese) is the main weapon that is used by Cassandra in Soulcalibur VI.
In Cassandra's Colour 2, the shield is recoloured to be pink. In her Colour 3, the shield is black instead. For her Colour 4, the shield is pink again and the shield's rim is coloured silver instead of gold like it is in her other colours.

A sword and shield entrusted to a holy warrior by the god of smithing, Hephaestus. They were once used by Sophitia in her quest to destroy Soul Edge. After destroying one of its two parts, she placed the sword and shield in a shrine, where they remained under the careful watch of the heavens.
Even now, they continue to benefit from the blessings of the gods. Their latent divine power alone exceeds that of Sophitia's current sword and shield, and is capable of unleashing natural disasters upon the earth. Cassandra had always been physically capable, but the moment she took hold of these, she became a mighty swordswoman, despite having no real experience with a sword.
Though her circumstances and motivations may differ from Sophitia's, Cassandra has the potential to carve her own fate. But is potential enough...?
