Ankou (アンクゥ?) is one of Zasalamel's weapons in Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, and Soulcalibur VI. It is highly decorative and the "joint" of where the blade and hilt meet is made of a fluid, beautiful design. The other end seems to be a mace of sorts, adorned with spikes.

Description: A scythe with the same name as an incarnation of death famous in the Brittany region of France. It's said that whoever lays eyes upon this being will lose either a loved one or their own life. Most likely, opponent's see the wielder of this weapon as the embodiment of this very demon himself.

- Ankou is a personification of death in Breton mythology as well as in Cornish and Norman French folklore. He often appear as a skeleton under a black robe and wielding a scythe.
