Blue Crystal Rod (ブルークリスタルロッド Burū Kurisutaru Roddo?) is one of Sophitia's weapons in Soul Blade, Soulcalibur II, Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, and Soulcalibur VI, and one of her few weapons that appears in most of the Soul series except for Soulcalibur, Soulcalibur Legends, and Soulcalibur V. In Soulcalibur II’s Weapon Gallery, this weapon is called the Blue Crystal Rod & Blue Line Shield (ブルークリスタルロッド＆ブルーラインシールド Burū Kurisutaru Roddo & Burū Rain Shīrudo?).
Like the Red Crystal Rod & Red Line Shield, this magic rod and shield are from Namco's own 1984 arcade role-playing maze title The Tower of Druaga, which both are essential items to obtain in order for its protagonist Gilgamesh to defeat the demon Druaga at floor 59. The Blue Crystal Rod also makes its appearances in later games of that series (Babylonian Castle Saga) as well.

The Blue Crystal Rod makes its first appearance in the series in this game. It can be unlocked by completing Episode 6 of Sophitia's Edge Master mode. It serves as the prize given to Sophitia for defeating Mitsurugi, Seong Mi-na and Hwang at the Colosseum.

There are two methods to obtain Blue Crystal Rod: the first method is to defeat Sophitia in Tales of Souls (although the chances of obtaining it this way are low), and the other method is to simply purchase it in the Weapon Shop for 26,600 Gold. However, you need to unlock it first before it'll appear in the Shop's listing. There are two ways to make it appear in the Shop's listing:
- Fight a total of 525 matches.
- Clear any of the following stages during Sophitia's Tales of Souls:
- Stage 6 (Ivy)
- Stage 7 (Voldo)
- Stage 8 (Yun-seong)
- Stage 9 (Talim)

- In The Tower of Druaga series, the Blue Crystal Rod was a divine creation of the gods that was stolen by the demon Druaga, and the Blue Line Shield was one of the obtainable shields the main character, Gilgamesh, could obtain on his quest to defeat Druaga, save his lover Ki and return the Blue Crystal Rod to Ishtar.
- This weapon returns in Soulcalibur: Lost Swords as one of Pyrrha and Sophitia's premium weapons, except there are different variants of it, from "dark", "red", "green", and "light" versions, depending on whichever elemental attribute was assigned to it.
