Creation returns in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. Most modifications present in Soulcalibur IV also appear in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. However, there are a few noticeable changes.

First introduced in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is the ability to take a photo of a thumbnail for your character, which is used in the character select and versus screen. The player has the ability to change the border, background, and the character's pose.
This feature would be kept for Soulcalibur V and Soulcalibur VI, keeping many of the borders and backgrounds that were introduced in this game.
