Digamma Sword & Nemea Shield (1P) from Soulcalibur III
Digamma Sword & Nemea Shield (ディガンマソード、ネメアシールド（リノベイト）? lit. Digamma Sword, Nemea Shield (Renovated)) are Cassandra's weapons in Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, and Soulcalibur VI. The Digamma Sword is the replacement of the damaged Ω Sword, while the shield is just the one used in Soulcalibur II, only reforged in an oval-like shape with a pink coat and sliver outlines. In Soulcalibur VI, its name gets changed to Modified Nemea Shield & Digamma Sword (ネメアシールド＆ディガンマソード（リノベイト）? lit. Nemea Shield & Digamma Sword (Renovated)).

Profile[]
Cassandra is the younger sister of Sophitia, who received the oracle from Olympus and became a holy warrior. The sword and shield that she used in her battles were later dedicated to a temple.
Though it appeared that she had found happiness, Sophitia was still tormented by thoughts of Soul Edge. Seeing her sister caught up in the wars of the gods, Cassandra was determined to help her. Even as she cursed the gods, she claimed the weapons from the temple.
Cassandra is almost completely untrained in the arts of the sword, and her weapons have sometimes broken under her crude handling.[1][2]

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords[]

Sophitia and Pyrrha wield the sword & shield in Soulcalibur: Lost Swords as an unlockable weapon. It retains its appearance from Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV.
Sophitia and Pyrrha are able to wield this weapon by performing a Soul Break on an enemy, this breaks their equipment and a treasure chest is left behind. Collecting the chest will unlock the weapon at random.
Soulcalibur VI[]
Modified Nemea Shield & Digamma Sword appears in Soulcalibur VI as an optional weapon for Cassandra and appears in her story, wielded by the Masked Swordswoman, who is actually the Cassandra of the original timeline.
Description: A shield and sword made with divine metal supplied by the ancient Greek god of smithing, Hephaestus. They say any devoted believer who wielded them would be granted the protection of the gods. Judging by the amount of repairs made to them, these weapons have been wielded in some of the harshest of circumstances of a long period of time.
Etymology[]
The Nemea shield seems to be named after the Nemean Lion, the monster that Heracles (most popularly known by his Roman name Hercules) slew on one of his "Twelve Labors" whose fur was said to have been impenetrable.
