Edgardo

Edgardo in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny

Edgardo (エドガルド?) is a fictional character that was meant to be introduced in Soulcalibur III, along with Tira, Setsuka and Zasalamel. Since his in-game model, but not his movelist, was completed, Edgardo never made it into the final game due to scheduling issues and the resulting time pressure.[1]

Soulcalibur IV[]

He sought revenge against the Azure Knight for the death of his parents. However, he came to sympathize with Siegfried. Claiming to be an ally to Siegfried, he encountered and fought Taki prior to Soulcalibur IV. He was defeated, but spared.[2]

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny[]

In Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, he appears as a custom character opponent in Quick Match mode. He appears under the player name, "Leviathan", and holds the 120th title, "Consecutive-Win Stopper". He uses Cervantes' moveset and wields Firangi.

Trivia[]

  • It should be noted that his hair bears similarities with that of Algol's.
  • During the development of Soulcalibur III, there was going to be a character that would use a double saber, which was going to be Edgardo.[3] His "Quadra Edge" would be able to change into four different forms: double saber, double sword, cross sword and scissors.[4]
  • The Egyptian Temple was originally planned as Edgardo's stage.[5]
