John Richard Johnathan (ジョン・リチャード・ジョナサン, Jon Richādo Jonasen) is a character in the Soul series. He appears in Soulcalibur VI.
He uses the same moveset as Seigfried.
His nickname is Knight of The Curse (呪いの騎士, Noroi no kishi)
Physical Appearance[]
John is a light skinned young man with a thin but well built physique, blonde hair and light blue eyes, he possesses a scar on his right hand.
After being freed from the control of Soul Edge, he gains a large scar across his right eye and purple markings on his right arm.

He wears a grey hood with markings, a grey cape with dark light blue trim that covers his right arm, a black leather sleeveless undershirt, a white one sleeved shirt underneath a grey chestplate with dark light blue trim, a single grey gauntlet on his arm left with dark light blue trim, a black glove with a small gauntlet and white bandages on his right arm, a fauld with a blue cloth that has a dark light blue bird symbol in the front, black chaps over grey pants with a pair of brown and grey boots.

Biography[]
10 years ago the ruler of the Almarian Kingdom Rick Johnathan fought in a war against The Wizard, ruler of Ascuridat Kingdom and defeated him. He spent the remaining days as king before his death in 1573 by old age.
The Almarian Kingdom was ruled by his wife Catrina, while a majority of the population accepted her, there are some who do not accept her rule nor her rules and in secret formed a rebellion. The rebellion headquarters hidden in the forest outside the kingdom are lead by a man named Vert Krushen. He hates people with authority or power over people, while not wanting to kill Catrina but will if she does not step down as ruler and let the people be in charge over themselves.
Among the rebellion was John Richard Johnathan, the son of Rick and Catrina who joined the rebellion as he agreed with Vert or at least most of what he said. John served the rebellion in many ways either by getting information or finding new recruits, he did this for several years however in 1583 a huge beam of light lit the sky and from it shards fell. John discovered one of this shards and picked it up however as he did the shard embedded into his hand, the arm began twitching and them mutated into a large grotesque three-digit claw. He screamed in pain before everything faded to black
Soulcalibur VI[]
Waking up in a forest, no memory of where he have been or what he has done. John traveled backwards, following the marks he left until he reached a destroyed town. Looking around for survivors, he found one who told him about a monster, clad in similar armor as John but had a large right arm with three fingers. Asking when the monster showed up, the man said a day ago which made John realized that it was the same day when that beam of light lit the sky and he picked up that shard.
"Could the monster be me" John thought to himself as he thanked the man and left.
John was tormented by nightmares every night and after every night he would discover a town destroyed by the monster. John heard of other people like him are called malfested or outsider, hearing rumors about a holy stone that could cure malfestation, John left the kingdom in search of the holy stone but he know that others would be after him due to his malfestation, including a certain organization.

Critical Edge[]
Cursed Knight: John swings his sword and launches his opponent to the air, whereas John grinds his sword to the right, sending the falling enemy to the air once more. Charging his sword with the remnants of Soul Edge's power on his body, he spins clockwise and strike the opponent with both his sword and the flames created by the cursed sword's power.
