Marco Johnathan (マルコ・ジョナサン, Maruko Jonasen) is a character in the Soul series. He appears in Soulcalibur VI.
He uses the same moveset as Yoshimitsu
His nickname is Samurai of Gold (武士 の ゴールド, Bushi no Gōrudo)
Physical Appearance[]
Marco resembles his brother but is slightly thinner. He also changes his eye and hair color to a gold color when he dons his armor.
Soulcalibur VI: Marco is a light skinned young man with a thin but well built physique, brown hair and light blue eyes, he lost his lower right arm leaving only the bicep and shoulder left, the lower half was replaced with a mechanical one.

He wears a black hannya mask with gold horns and teeth, a pair of small gold spaulders with black leather underneath both and spikes and a black gold trim cloth on the left spaulder, a white one sleeved shirt underneath a gold chestplate with black trim, a single gold gauntlet on his arm left with black trim, a black tattered cloth with gold trim flowing from his yellow belt, white pants, a pair of gold armored shin guards with black straw sandals that have a black cloth in the back, white socks and several white bandages around his body.

Biography[]
10 years ago the ruler of the Almarian Kingdom Rick Johnathan fought in a war against The Wizard, ruler of Ascuridat Kingdom and defeated him. He spent the remaining days as king before his death in 1573 by old age. However 11 years he and his wife Catrina sent two of their children far from the kingdom, to distant lands while the third stayed.
One of these children was Marco Johnathan, raised in Poland for most of his life, Marco remembered little about his past even less his family. One day at age of 17 his adopted family told him about his family and where he came from, This made him make a decision to leave Poland and find his birthplace, this Almarian Kingdom. Leaving Poland, Marco wandered for 3 years before he found the kingdom, there he meet his mother and brother John who looked like him. His mother told him why they send him and his sister Linda away, that it was for safety. However Marco did not care about the reason why they did it. Marco left the kingdom saying that he does not belong there. He traveled around world until he was found by Yoshimitsu who saw that he was in conflict within himself and offered Marco to be trained by him. Marco who did have anything to do accepted and was trained for 4 years, becoming an official member of The Manji Clan.
Soulcalibur VI[]
With the destruction of the Manji Clan, Marco and his master Yoshimitsu were the only survivors although Marco lost his lower right arm. Yoshimitsu replaced his arm with a mechanical one similar to his own. While Yoshimitsu dedicated his life to his clan’s martial arts, Marco decided to find information on the warlord who attack the village and avenge the fallen. With his skills and strong will, there was nothing that could stand in his path for vengeances

Critical Edge[]
Tamashī Toru: Marco begins by spinning his sword before jumping in the air and slashes down on his opponent. He then shoves his left hand into his opponent chest and pulls out their soul, he then throws the soul into the are and slices it into three pieces with his sword and absorbs it.
