Night Raven (ナイト・レイヴン, Naito Reivun) is character in the Soul series and made his debut in Soulcalibur VI.

His primary weapon is a Zweihänder sword called Soul Edge (Anima) and he uses the same weapons and moveset as Nightmare. He is quite similar to him both appearance and style.

His nickname is Knight of Ravens (騎士のレイヴンズ, Kishi No Reivunzu)

Physical Appearance[]

As having John as his host, Night Raven have the same appearance as him but with glowing red Malfested eyes and having his right arm mutated into a grotesque three-fingered claw as a result of his Malfestation.

He wears a grey feather winged helmet with a grey mask, a grey chestplate with dark light blue trim over a single sleeved white shirt, a single grey gauntlet on his left arm with dark light blue trim, a grey fauld with four blue-detailed tassets, black chaps over white pants, leg armor with fins on the kneecaps and light blue trim and several of tattered white scarves.

He wears a dark grey hood with silver markings, a dark grey with silver markings single sleeved robe with brown straps, a pair of dark grey pants and a pair of grey with dark light blue trim greaves.

Biography[]

Soulcalibur VI[]

Appearing from the darkness of the forests, this corrupted knight cuts down anything in his paths leaving only death and destruction. His name came to represent terror and dread to all who heard it. Those who found him only meet their end by his sword, leaving only a scream and a corpse. The only thing they saw before death, was the flock of ravens waiting to feast on the remains of the victim.

Critical Edge[]

Cursed Rider: Night Raven grabs his sword with both hands and thrusts it upwards, standing still while doing so. After a brief delay, he utters "Soul Edge!", driving his sword downward, striking and stunning his opponent while doing so. With a dark aura explosion enveloping him, he utters "Be unleashed!". Emerging from the explosion, sitting atop a horse made of dark energy, he charges towards his opponent, with his sword lowered, muttering "Taste...". As the sword connects, and slices trough the opponent, he finishes with shouting "...the sword of despair!" The horse disappears, with Night Raven ending up on the opponent's rear.
