Shin(真, Shin) is a character in the Soul series and appears in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur V.
He uses the same moveset as Kilik in SCIV and Xiba in SCV.
What lies in his soul is Justice
In Soulcalibur V's promotional material he is referred as Leader of Ling-Sheng Su
Physical Appearance[]
Shin is a light-skinned young man with a slim but well built physique, a long black hair that's tied into a single thin braid, a beard and black eyes.

Soulcalibur IV: He wears a silver ornate white necklace with a green gem, a white long-sleeved robe with a red trim and a golden dragon motif, a pair of grey, layered arm-guards, each with a small red cloth wrapping the wrist area, a silver metallic belt with a red strip, white pants, white socks and a pair of grey armored shin guards with straw sandals that have a flower pattern red cloth in the back.
Soulcalibur V: Shin retains the lower half of his SCIV outfit, but wears a brown leather coat over a green shirt.

Art of The Ling Sheng Su: Phoenix Dance: Knocks his opponent into the air with his rod, and then delivers a midair kick combo (three kicks), and strikes them down with his rod.
Critical Finish[]
Art of The Ling Sheng Su: Final Phoenix: Shin prepares his Critical Finish with the words "Lets end this charade" He kicks and jabs his opponent to the ground with his rod. Then, he jumps high up in the air with the cry of a phoenix and he slams his rod onto the opponent, causing golden feathers to suddenly appear.

Jingu Staff[]
A staff in the Ling Sheng-Su Temple, it was giving to Shin as a gift after he left the temple and as a reminder and source of strength of the Ling Sheng-Su after the temple was destroyed.
A divine weapon, legend says that it is able to alter its length according to its wielder's will. It is said that originally it was not a weapon, but a pillar of the Dragon god's castle. Being a divine weapon, it is difficult for a human being to use it for long periods of time.
Kali-Yuga[]
One of the three sacred treasures of the Ling Sheng-Su Temple.
Kali-Yuga has the power to absorb any type of energy, be it good or evil. Since the night when the Evil Seed rained down the temple Kali-Yuga has been filled with evil energy, and if anyone (aside from Kilik) was to handle Kali-Yuga, it would mean the creation of another Soul Edge-like weapon.
it was originally wielded by Edge Master before being passed down to Kilik who later passed it Xiba.
Shin wielded for a short time but due to the evil energy within, he quickly dropped it. Shin later made a replica of it but rarely used it aside from training and as a backup weapon.
