Ishi was originally a spirit who was seeking a body in the original Soulcalibur game. she took the form of Taki and fought her way through everyone to get to Inferno.

After Inferno was defeated Ishi was ripped out of Taki and not to be seen again until the events of Soulcalibur II Where she took the form of Sophitia and once again Defeats everyone in her way to meet Inferno once more. once Inferno was defeated again by Ishi, her spirit was removed of Sophitia and was to roam again.
