Abraham Shamgar (アブラハム・タデイ, Aburahamu Shamugaru, Hebrew: אברהם שמגר) is a character in the Soul series, he makes his appearance in Soul Calibur III. Despite his presence in this game, his timeline takes place 30 years ago.

What lies in his soul is Grievance.

In Soulcalibur III, he is referred to as He Who Regrets.

Abraham descends from a Jewish family which was from the Holy Roman Empire, but was expelled of it in the end of the XVth century, and went to the Kingdom of Poland, in Kraków wich welcomed the Jews.

Etymology

Being of Jewish confession, Abraham bears the same name of the main patriarch of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religions. It means "father of a multitude of nations".

Shamgar is a judge of Israel quoted in the Book of Judges.
