Cole Romano is a fan character made by yoshiakge1234 and he is an Italian Noblemen who appears in Soulcalibur III-Soulcalibur VI.(still in progress) DO NOT EDIT THIS ARTICLE.

What lies in his soul is Justice. In soulcalibur V he is referred as corrupted one.

History

Cole Romano was a Italian noblemen born in Florence (Italy) he's parents were known friends with the Kercontro family and he became best friends with the family son Sebastian Kercontro. The Romano family were a respected family through Italy but do to the political wars at the time his family slowly became a shadow of it's former self. Cole lived in a mansion with his uncle and brother, his uncle holds a lot of control on the family and plans to control Italy but while this is happening Cole study in the world of medicine and tries to help people from their injuries. After Sebastian's disgrace and disappearance, many assumed the Romano family help Sebastian escape from Spain and live in Italy because of this rumor many formed an angry mob and try to kill Cole and his family. While Cole was helping people of their injuries, several knights threaten to kill him and he ran home confuse by what happen, in the middle of the night his family home was set on fire Cole tries to find his uncle but could not find him but then saved his brother and hide in the slums of Italy and protected by the poor peasants there. For three months Cole and his brother tries escape Italy by sneaking into a boat that would take them to Greece when they got there they took different identities. They stayed in Greece for several weeks until Cole encountered a Japanese nomad they became good friends and the nomad promise to teach Cole to how to use a katana while this is happening, a big red mist pass Greece. For five months Cole and the nomad trained together and was given his own special katana that he named Thornblade (a special sharp sword that can cut humans easily and holds a poisoness essence) after that the nomad finally revels his name and his name is Hirohiko Tsun(a well known samurai master). Tsun told Cole many stories of his travels around the world and told him the story of souledge and soulcalibur and how they are bound to one an other. In two days Cole is starting to feel that his master is not acting right and something is wrong with him but the next day it got worse his master became more aggressive and violent and Cole had to calm him down but then his master had a enough and try to kill him. Cole deafened himself and killed his master Cole was heart broken that he had to kill his master but he believes this is the work of souledge and dedicated his studies to find souledge's location and destroy it. One night Cole witness a strange looking man enter his home he went inside his house and caught the man and tried to fight him but the man took up the high ground and thrown Cole across the room Cole mange to get up and chase after the man. The man was very fast and athletic and Cole could not catch up to him but he heard his brother screaming and went to his room but found him dead and his studies on souledge and soulcalibur are missing Cole felt a strange shiver on him and was later wounded and push across his brother room knocked out. Cole later mourned the death of his brother and realized that the person that attacked him and his brother was Voldo (the trusted servent of Vercci the Merchant of death) Cole believes that he has no choice to find souledge and destroy it so people like Voldo won't abuse its power.

New timeline

Cole Romano was an Italian noblemen that was born in a wealthy and respected family called the Romano Family. He and his Family were personal friends of the Kercontro family for years and became best friends with the families son Sebastian Kercontro but in later years both Cole and Sebastian became powerful heads of their families in these troubling times. Sebastian became a cold head of his family and Cole became a nice and fair person but some times a bit cruel he taught his brother to be kind and fair to others while his uncle emotionally abuse them and plans to plot against them. After Sebastian disgrace and later downfall, Cole started to get worried for his friend and sent people to find him but to no avail until people start to make rumors that Cole is keeping Sebastian safe in Italy and many started to believe it and plan to kill Cole and his family and mark them as traitors. In three days Cole discovered that his uncle was plotting against him and the illegal actives that he was doing so he had him a arrested but this would later be a consequence because in Cole's uncles interrogation he lies to the authorities that Cole is keeping Sebastian safely in the house so they plan to burn his house to the ground with them in it. The next day in the middle of the night Cole was studying on medicine while his brother is sleeping until Cole smell smoke and realized that his house is on fire so he save his brother and got out of the house and realized it was an angry mob that cause the fire so he and his brother ran to the slums and was protected and taking care of by the peasants of Italy until for three weeks the peasants help Cole and his brother to sneak into a boat that would take them to Greece where they be safe but took in different identities. Cole met a Japanese nomad named Hirohiko Tsun (a well known samurai master) and he was trained by him for three years until Cole saw a giant red mist in the sky but he did not known what it was. Cole heard stories of souledge and soulcalibur and was interested with their history until one day his master Tsun crafted him a katana Cole called it Thornblade two weeks later Coles master Tsun attacked him Cole deafened himself and killed his master but his master said with his dying breath souledge this shocked Cole and decide to research on souledges location but he does not realizes that he is being watched. One day, a man came to Cole house while Cole is sleeping but woke up when he heard screaming he went to his brother's room and discover he's dead then he saw the man up close and witness him stealing his research on souledge. Cole fought the man and notice it was Voldo but he escape by jumping out the window Cole mourned the death of both his master and brother and promise to find souledge and destroy it. Later on Cole adopted a boy that he would name Lucius and train him in the arts of swordsmanship for a couple of years and awarded his foster son a katana named Iorweth. Two weeks later, Cole told Lucius that he his going on a journey and will be back soon after that Cole travel the world to find and destroy souledge.

Soulcalibur III

Cole was traveling around the world in search for souledge until he found a injured stranger near a destroyed town and discovered its his old friend Sebastian Cole was upset at what Happen to his friend so he tried to take him home. When he got Sebastian to his home he meets a girl name Haylee and she tries to help him with Sebastian by putting him in bed and treating his injuries while this is happening, Haylee told Cole everything and her story and he was glad that his friend is safe and being taken care of by someone but he left a note for Sebastian about the Malfested and where they came from. Later on, while Cole is still in London he discover a boy being harassed by bandits Cole put a stop to this and the bandits left in fear the boy thank him but Cole ask him his name and the boy responded that he has no name Cole was sadden by this and decided to adopted the boy and name him Lucius but also train him in swordsmanship. Two weeks later Cole is still researching on souledge and had dream in being the Astral Chaos and saw Nightmare Cole saw this dream as threat by Nightmare. Cole started to ask several travelers on their encounters on souledge and was told that an agent of Nightmare was seen at Ostrheinsburg Castle but before he could go there he gave Lucius a Katana called Iorweth and left to find Nightmare.

Soulcalibur IV

For months, Cole is still looking for souledge and Nightmare but could not found any trace of them but encounter several enemies that tried to get in his way until something strange has happen a tower has appear out of no where and news came out that Siegfried was Nightmare and an other Nightmare has appear and an other person has appear named Algol. Cole does not know what to do and see all of them as a threat but Cole decided to challenge Algol and kill him because he wants to know who he is and why is he here but while he goes to find Algol he encounters Sebastian who threaten to kill him Cole deafened himself but was defeated by Sebastian. Later, Cole found himself in a strange location he can't remember how he got here but feels a horrible headache and notice the strange wounds on himself and searches for a doctor but passes out until someone found him and save him from his wounds and place him on a ship where he would be sent to safety.

Soulcalibur V

Cole woke up in a strange location and wondered on how he got here someone near by told that he was injured and was later taken on a ship to take him to a safe location. later Cole was starting to have strange aggressive feelings and when he killed a bandit he felt a strange source of power towards it and whats even more strange his personality starts to change he became very aggressive and a bit evil and starts killing random bandits for more power. later, the Imperial city is being attack by soldiers that was sent by Graf Dumas he try to kill more of the soldiers until he was knocked out by Voldo and was later taken to the Graf. Graf Dumas notice the potential that Cole can make and fully malfested him and change his memories and made him he's puppet and uses Cole to kill several people that would get in his way and allowed Cole to take control on the attack on Siegfried's camp. later on the final battlefield Cole led an army of malfested to Siegfried's army during the battlefield he killed many and many soldiers until he was randomly attacked by Sebastian, Sebastian had the upper hand until a crystal ball hit him allowing Cole to escape. Cole tries to return to Denever Castle but was attack by an other man who was strangely familiar to him the man said "stop this now Father, stop this madness" Cole was confused and saw this man as trickster and attacked him the man defended himself and said "Cole listen to me, I'm your son Lucius" but he did not listen and continue to attacking Lucius. When Lucius fell to the ground Cole was about to make the final strike until he was horribly beaten by Siegfried and then Lucius drag his father out of the battlefield. After the defeated of Nightmare, Cole found himself in Astral Chaos confronted by Nightmare who was mocking him and his failures Cole is angered at the fact Nightmare fully malfested him and altered his memories so they fight each other but nightmare was easily defeated until Inferno fully emerged and try to kill Cole once and for all. Cole struggle against Inferno until the right moment he was given soulcalibur and defeated Inferno after that Cole woke up and was confused at what happen to him until his son Lucius came and explain everything to him and Cole thanked him for saving him and is proud of him so they both left and return home.

Personality

Old timeline-Cole was a very caring man and loves his family but when he discover souledge is the reason for his brother death and his master this news turn him mad and crazy to the point he seek justice for their demise. In soulcalibur V Cole turn malfested and corrupt he became more aggressive and filled with anger he starts to attack anyone that he thinks are evil.

New timeline-Cole is very kind man in nature he loved helping others and was a good brother and always cared to fight for the weak from others until he was framed for something he didn't do he felt betrayed but starts to take of his brother and found a mater to train him. when souledge entered his life he went mad his master became malfested and his brother was killed by Voldo he felt very responsible for their deaths and starts doing research on souledge until he found a boy that reminded him of his brother and decided to help him by adopting the boy and gave him a name and a new life but still Cole wanted justices for the deaths of his master and brother.

Endings

Soulcalibur III-Input ending-Cole see's souledge in the distance and walks up to souledge with his katana in his hand he says "you have ruin my life but not just that you also ruin many other life's as well and for that you will pay" he's about to take a strike on the sword until his son Lucius shows up and tell him to not destroy souledge. Cole tells him about souledge and the horrible things it has done to people but Lucius takes out his katana and threatens his father to not destroy souledge but Cole hesitates on what to do until he destroy souledge and flash of light came. In the next seen Cole is seen smiling with his son and living their new peacful lives.

No Input ending-Lucius is seen standing on his father's grave and commenting how foolish his father actions were and wishes to stop his father for looking for souledge until Haylee comes behind him and said's I'm sorry for your loss" and Lucius said's thank you and says that he pity his father and Haylee's master/caretaker after that they walk away to the distance.

Soulcalibur IV-Algol is down and defeated and he's ready to die and souledge and soulcalibur fell on each side of the floor Cole walks up to Algol and is ready to strike him down until he started to see Algol's memories and started to pity him and refuse to kill him and walks to souledge with Algol confuse. Cole stares at souledge with anger and stabs souledge with his katana he starts to struggle on keeping his sword intact to destroy the evil sword souledge tries to convince Cole to not destroy him until a giant beam of light comes and Algol tries to stop him but it was to late. Text only epilogue states that he has sacrifice his life to save a million other life's.
