Soulcalibur X Mortal Kombat is a crossover fighting game developed by Namco. The game was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita and PC. The game features characters from both the Soulcalibur franchise and NetherRealm Studios Mortal Kombat series. NetherRealm Studios is currently producing their own take on the crossover, Mortal Kombat X Soulcalibur, which will follow their 3D style of gameplay.
Plot[]
The center of the conflict between the Soulcalibur and Mortal Kombat universes is a cubical object that crash-lands in Antartica. The object is of a mysterious origin and researchers worldwide are unable to determine what purpose it serves. The only thing that can be understood is that when beings come into conflict around this object, it releases a water-like energy that brings more power to the combatants. Due to the object's tendency to react to conflict between beings.
