Garibrand von Rüdiger (ガリブラント・フォン・リューディガー, Gariburanto fon Ryūdigā^?) is a background character in Soulcalibur VI. An old man from Wolfkrone, he has served three generations of the Krone family.

Garibrand has been an influential vassal to three generations of Wolfkrone rulers, and as head of the Rüdiger family wields power second only to the Krone family itself. In his youth, he was a great warrior once feared as "the Defiant Demon," but it has been many years since he retired from the battlefield. Now, he assists the young regent Hilde as high chancellor and lead representative of the royal vassals.

The Rüdiger family boasts significant influence among the Seven Great Houses, and has produced some of the greatest lancers the kingdom has ever known. In recent years, the Rüdiger family has deepened its ties with the Krone family. It is a well-known fact that the reigning King George's late wife and Hilde's mother Dietrinde was a daughter of Rüdiger. Perhaps it is the Rüdigers' honor of blood ties that compels the largest noble house of the kingdom to support young Hilde without ulterior motive. After all, the Rüdiger house precept is "The blood endures, the spear prevails."

Political intrigue is an unavoidable reality of court life, yet none in the kingdom doubt Garibrand's loyalty to the throne.
