Great Sword (グレートソード?) is one of Strife's weapons in Soulcalibur III, and Siegfried's weapons in Soulcalibur IV.
Its appearance in Soulcalibur IV is similar to Edge Master's unnamed Zweihänder from Soulcalibur, but its design and name was changed to a nodachi from Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny onwards.

Trivia[]
- Great Sword's Soulcalibur IV design appeared earlier in Soulcalibur III, as Siegfried's version of The Ancient.
- However, in Soulcalibur Broken Destiny, its appearance was changed to that of a Japanese Ōdachi, and it also gets its name changed from グレートソード (Great Sword) to 大太刀 (Ōdachi). These changes were retained in Soulcalibur V and Soulcalibur VI, although the latter finally gave it a new English name: Large Tachi.
- A 2005 Sony Europe press disc included numerous promo images related to Soulcalibur III, including images of various weapons in the game. However, the render for the Iron Sword showed a weapon that is not actually seen in the final game. This design is actually that of Cervantes' Falchion from Soulcalibur II. While this Iron Sword goes unnamed, as the disc only contains images for the first weapons of each category, it can be assumed that this was what Great Sword originally looked like before being changed to its final design.[1]
