A sword filled with an unspeakably ominous energy, as though forged from darkness itself. According to ancient writings of suspect origin, the blade turns its wielder into an unconquerable warrior by consuming their fear and pain. But who would believe such a myth?
Other accounts claim the sword is linked to beings even more ancient than those writings of old, and that it only appears to those whose souls have been chosen as offerings. It would therefore be wise for the traveler who happens upon this weapon to offer up a prayer to the gods, and hope the sword they have found is, in fact, an elaborate replica.
