Kalnypalk (カルニパルク?) is one of Fygul Cestemus' planetary priests, representing the planet Mars, who specialises in mechanics and metallurgy. Her name in the cult's ancient language is Krr lny py alnqk,[2] which means "the Dancer."[3] She is the half-sister of Kalnypolok.[1]
Personality[]
She is cheerful and carefree, with a bit of a self-centered outlook. It is rumored that she is responsible for the deaths of many cult members.[1]
Soulcalibur V[]
After Astaroth's rampage at the end of 16th century, large scale in-fighting occurred within Fygul Cestemus. As a result, Kunpaetku went missing and the sun, moon, Mercury, and Jupiter priests were all killed. Kalnypolok, Kalnypalk and the planetary priest of Saturn, Azpelku[4], were the only planetary priests to survive. The two half-siblings claimed authority over the malevolent cult and—as the two had always approached the cult's beliefs from a more destructive angle—murdered Azpelku, their only remaining rival, and any followers who did not agree with their interpretation of their god's teachings. This phase of unrest within the cult would be suppressed when Kunpaetku returned.[1]
Trivia[]
- Kalnypalk and her half-brother, Kalnypolok, both created Ashlotte.[4]
- In Astaroth's Soul Chronicle in Soulcalibur VI, her name is spelt as "Kalnipahlk".
