- "Test your might at the festival for an ancient hero."
- — Announcer
Luoyang: Grand Festival of Guandi Temple (洛陽・関帝廟大祭?) is Leixia's stage in Soulcalibur V. Set in Luoyang, China during a well lit grand festival with several circus artists and Chinese lion dancers in the background. The ring is enclosed by a wall with several gongs on one side and low breakable fences on three sides.
Profile[]
Guandi Temple is lit up by a grand festival. Leixia, who has always admired the hero Guan Yu, would sneak out at every opportunity to experience the wonders of this festival. Snake dances would be performed on the stage built at the center of the river to amaze and delight spectators.[1]
Designer's Comment[]
- "The initial concept for this stage was a martial arts tournament, but instead of going for a more stoic event like that, we decided to add a more celebratory vibe to the scene and turned it into one big festival."
- — Yuko Mizoguchi[1]
Trivia[]
- Originally, the stage concept was that of a martial arts tournament. The designers later went for a celebratory concept rather than a "stoic event".
