
Night Reverse Side Stance in Soulcalibur II.
Night Reverse Side Stance (シニスター・ホールド Shinisutā hōrudo?, Sinister Hold) is one of the stances that Nightmare has. It resembles Nightmare's Night Side Stance except he holds his sword in his left hand, and only appeared in Soulcalibur II.

- Siegfried was given a similar stance in Soulcalibur III. It has the same Japanese name, Sinister Hold (シニスター・ホールド), but it is called "Reverse Side Hold" in English.
- This stance, along with many of Nightmare and Siegfried's other stances, are named after members of Schwarzstrom:
- Nightmare's Night Lower Stance and Siegfried's Base Hold are both called "Base Hold" in Japanese. Aeon's title was "Base Vert".
- Nightmare's Night Behind Stance and Siegfried's Chief Hold are both called "Chief Hold" in Japanese. Frederick's title was "Chief Gules".
- Nightmare's Night Side Stance and Siegfried's Side Hold are both called "Dexter Hold" in Japanese. Furthermore, a couple of Nightmare's attacks in Night Side Stance have "Purpure" in their Japanese name. Ivy's title was "Dexter Purpure".
- Nightmare's Night Reverse Side Stance and Siegfried's Reverse Side Hold are both called "Sinister Hold" in Japanese. Furthermore, the Japanese name for "Helm Shear" is "Sable Slap" in Japanese. Astaroth's title was "Sinister Sable".
