The Nightmare Pauldron as it appears in Soulcalibur IV.
Nightmare Pauldron (凶夢の肩甲?) is a pauldron with a demonic, deformed appearance. It is worn by Nightmare in his 2P costume in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. It is available for male characters in Character Creation for Soulcalibur IV, and later as DLC in Soulcalibur VI where it was renamed to Apocalypse Pauldrons.
Soulcalibur IV[]
This Shoulder Equipment raises Power and HP by 20, Attack by 30 but decreases Defense by 25. It is unlocked at the start of the game.
When equipped, it only appears on the left shoulder, presumably due to Nightmare's corrupted arm taking up space on his right shoulder.
Soulcalibur VI[]
It was added to the game as part of DLC5: Character Creation Set B. Unlike in Soulcalibur IV, the pauldrons appear on both shoulders.
