Biography[]
Soul Edge[]
Growing up in the famous Korean Seong Dojang headed by her father, Seong Han-myeong, Mi-na had always been surrounded by weapons, many of which she learned to use quite well, even surpassing her father with the wol-do. However, her looks led the local boys to kiss her and call her more than a striking girl, an image supported by her father who wanted her to settle down and marry a suitor, preferably Hwang Seong-gyeong, whom Han-myeong had personally wanted to adopt into the family. Facing increasing incursions from Japanese raiders, a coast guard was quickly formed and led by Yi Soon Shin, her father's childhood friend, with Mi-na desperate to join in the military; but she was denied from the military on account of her gender. Overhearing rumors of Soul Edge, deemed the "Sword of Salvation", while eavesdropping on a private conversation between her father and Hwang, she decided that if she would not be able to prove herself in the coastal military, she could just as easily prove herself by finding the fabled sword for her country. This prompted her to pack her belongings and run away from home, not knowing that Hwang had already been sent out on his own official quest for the weapon.
Soulcalibur[]
During her search, she did meet up with Hwang, and upon receiving news of an impending Japanese invasion of Korea, he cut his quest short and returned home, dragging Mi-na home with him. Not long after her return, Mi-na ran away again. Her frustration with rigorous training, combined with her father's eagerness to marry her to Hwang and a proposal from one of her father's wealthy trainees, sent her over the edge and out the door. Mi-na resumed her quest for the Soul Edge, but gained a valuable lesson along the way. She heard of a female warrior named Ivy, who was also searching for the Soul Edge. But upon meeting Ivy, she was told that Soul Edge was inherently demonic and that Mi-na would be better suited at home because she was only a weak little girl. Quick to anger, she challenged Ivy to a fight, but, overwhelmed and confused by Ivy's unusual snake sword, she suffered a humiliating defeat. Questioning her own strength, Mi-na met a middle-aged, alcoholic man with a beaten bo staff who jeered her and told her not to challenge people so hastily. But true to form, she attacked him and never landed a single hit, as he caught her guan dao with his bare hands. She asked if she could train under him, and he reluctantly agreed; despite his chronic alcoholism, his ability with the bo staff taught her much during her training. After a year of training, he mysteriously disappeared while out to buy more alcohol, and her only trace of him was a goodbye note telling her there was nothing more he could teach her, signed by a one 'Kong Xiuqiang', who was, in reality, Chai Xianghua's long-lost father and an exiled student of the Ling Sheng-Su Temple Ruin. From this experience, Mi-na learned to never underestimate the strength of an opponent, and she continued training for two years until she was ready to resume her quest for the Soul Edge. Eventually, however, she was dragged home once again by Hwang.
Soulcalibur II[]
Four years later, Mi-na saw a student of her father, Hong Yun-seong, angry after being rejected by Hwang when he challenged him to a battle. She felt sorry for the brooding young man and handed him a Seong family heirloom, the dao 'White Storm' that, according to legend, possessed the ability to reflect the innermost thoughts of those who wielded the blade. That night, Yun-seong had packed his belongings and run away from the dojo in pursuit of Soul Edge, taking the dao with him. Since Mi-na had lent the heirloom to him, she felt obligated to retrieve it, and decided to leave the dojang to find him. Seong Han-myeong did not want her to go, but he knew in his heart that if he protested, she would simply run away again, and he gave her his blessing to retrieve the weapon. By the time he considered that she would, in fact, try to seek and retrieve the Soul Edge on her journey, it was too late, and she was long gone.
Soulcalibur III[]
Seong Mi-na traveled throughout the Ming Empire, continuing her search for Yun-seong. In one city, she got involved in a fight. After defeating a brawny man, one of the onlookers casually remarked that her style largely resembled the fabled Ling-Sheng Su Style. When she thought about it, the man who had taught her how to use her weapon had never given a name for the style. This fighting art was a solid part of her now, but she didn't know where it originated from. Mi-na became interested and decided to visit this temple famous for its martial arts.
She went to the said temple and found that it was destroyed a few years ago. However, she found out that an old master of the said style was still alive. She decided to visit the old man living in some mountains in the Himalayas. She arrived and saw Edge Master, who was also Kilik's master. When she first challenged him to a fight, he refused. But in the end, he agreed. Seong Mi-na suffered a total defeat. The old man then invited her to stay with him to train. During breaks, she told him of stories of her travels. He seemed vaguely interested, but he jumped at the information that Mi-na was also looking for Soul Edge. He told her the sword was evil. She did not believe him at first, but she knew that a man like him would not lie.
After a few months of training, Mi-na made up her mind to go after Yun-seong again, to tell him that the sword was evil. After saying goodbye to her new master, she thought that next time, she would bring Yun-seong along. She concluded that it would be so much fun.
Soulcalibur IV[]
Seong Mi-na finally found Yun-seong in Istanbul, and also meets Talim, who was traveling with him. She then tells Yun-seong that Soul Edge was an evil sword. However, it seemed that he still believed that the sword was the one thing that he can use to protect his home. That night, Yun-seong left the two girls while they were asleep.
Talim assured Mi-na that he's headstrong, but a good man, and hopefully he'll make the right decision. Then Talim told Mi-na that there is a sword that opposes Soul Edge. Mi-na wondered if this sword was the true Sword of Salvation. If so, then she must find it as use it to destroy Soul Edge. Then the two parted ways.
Mi-na hurried to stop Yun-seong from obtaining Soul Edge.

Seung Mina ran away from home to follow Hwang on his quest to find Soul Edge, the "Sword of Salvation." Unfortunately for Seung Mina, Hwang dragged her back home when he found her.
It was not long before Seung Mina ran away from home again. Her frustrations with rigorous training, combined with a marriage proposal from one of her father's pupils, sent her over the edge and out the door.
Seung Mina resumed her quest for the sword, but gained a valuable lesson along the way. Following a humiliating and utter defeat, she learned never to underestimate an opponent's abilities.
She underwent further training during her travels to refine her skills, and now she was ready to renew her quest for the Sword of Salvation.
Chapter XVI: Heart and Soul Girl[1]
Seung Mina was now facing her toughest opponent ever. She left home (by pushing her father to the side) and chased after the sword of salvation, "Soul Edge" but before she got anywhere in her quest she was found by Hwang and taken home. Seung Han Myong, her father and teacher in the ways of the blade, ordered Mina into rigorous training as punishment. While on the other hand Han Myong took an even greater liking to Hwang and began arranging a marriage between Hwang and Mina. But Hwang was never home since his volunteer duty in the Coastal Defense Force kept him away from Chili-san most of the time. Mina would never be a quiet girl and after experiencing the freedom from her previous adventure she felt ill at ease. She finally lost her last shred of patience when the prodigal son of the wealthy Kim family, a pupil of the Seung School, proposed to her.
"I can't take this anymore!" she screamed and flew from the house again.
"Now where should I go? I want to volunteer for the Coastal Defense Force but they've flatly denied me because I am a woman. Moreover Hwang and father's best friend Admiral Lee Sun Shin are members of the Force so the instant I go there they will be forced to go back home. Then why don't I begin the quest for the sword of salvation again? Yeah, that seems like a good idea! If I get the sword surely the Force will accept me! I shall prove my ability by getting the Soul Edge! The father and Hwang will be forced to recognize my independence." Mina mused out load. And with this decision she began her renewed quest immediately.
After a few months Mina final reached western soil. One day Mina heard a rumor about a female fighter in town, who was searching for the Soul Edge, Mina's natural instincts lead her right to the female fighter. The tall female fighter was about to leave town but she told Mina she was searching for the demonic blade Soul Edge and the source of her power. Mina felt uneasy that the female fighter called the sword of salvation "the demonic blade".
"Oh? If you don't know even that much you should stay away from the blade and sit at home, pretty baby.", were the words the female fighter taunted Mina with.
Mina was upset the female fighter called her a baby and she didn't care if she was in the middle of the street or among a large crowd she challenged the woman with her Zanbato. Although she wasn't overpowered she was clearly overwhelmed by her opponent's mysterious wriggling sword. She fought her best against this strange opponent but the final result was obvious.
After the female fighter left the crowd broke up and left Mina standing alone in a dim street. The sun set into evening and the windows began reflecting the warm light within the rooms.
"My art of the blade was useless against her… does this mean I have neglected my training?" Mina pondered.
The art of the Zanbato was her only confidence in this journey. She stood in shock as her mind was denied everything by this one defeat.
"Interesting duel! Thanks for amusing me" a voice bellowed in the distance.
The voice hit Mina and she regained her focus. As she looked around she saw an Asian man standing on the side of the street where the crowd once was. The man looked in his thirties or forties, perhaps Chinese and very drunk. A rod is the man's hands drew Mina's attention. At a slight glance it looked like a mere stick but surely it was a rod and moreover it was very used.
"The sword of that lady was a rare thing indeed. Indeed it was a good lesson for you to learn not to challenge so boldly wasn't it? Luckily you are young so you can become stronger, eh' baby?" the man muttered.
After being treated like a child for the second time today she attacked the man without thinking. However her Zanbato never reached him. He didn't parry it or guard himself with his rod but instead he simply stopped the blade by grabbing the Zanbato by the rod section.
"Like I said. You should know your opponent's ability before you attack", the man smiled.
"You also said since I am young I could become stronger. Will you teach me how to fight? I don't care if it is the rod or other weapons" Mina rebutted in what may have been her strongest bluff ever.
The seasons came and went and Mina continued to train herself under the guidance of the man.
"I know I will encounter strong fighters like that female fighter in my quest for the Soul Edge. If I seek the blade then I need to become stronger." These were the words that would race through her mind as she continued her training.
This was her sole motivation to continue to push herself. The man paid little attention to Mina's application and instead taught her genuinely because of her strong convictions. Day by day her skill grew. Even though the man was drunk and his appearance was a terrible mess his fighting style and mastery of the rod had something very noble and traditional about it.
And now a full year had passed in Mina's training. And then one day the man went out to buy some alcohol and never returned. A sadden Mina found this note from the man at midnight:
"I am not worthy to officially teach you the way of the rod. But with your talent you need not master it fully, just combine what I have taught with your original art of the long blade. There is nothing more to teach you, go forth and complete your quest. - From Kong"
"Or so the story goes… at least that is what I remember about her. She reminded me of a girl from my past… they were both the same age I guess. I taught her the art of the rod for no real reason but I found myself surprised at how quickly she mastered it. She needed merely a year to master the basic techniques. She was an honest girl, so honest that she couldn't keep her thoughts in her mind. I think you should consider becoming more frank like this girl… don't you Chief Commander Hwang?" Drunk as usual, Kong both a master of the rod and new recruit in the Coastal Defense Force, talked with Hwang in a very frank and casual manner. Hwang's mind was still thinking about his failure a few days earlier when he had given chase to the Ryukyu pirate ship and lost many of his men. He heard Kong's tale without truly listening to it until the girl who Kong instructed in the way of rod drew his attention. This girl sounded like…
"Pardon me, Chief Commander Hwang. Sir Lee Sun Shin summons you immediately." Suddenly a voice from outside the room called Hwang. Hwang stood in reply and forced himself to stop thinking about Mina.
"My duty is to the Coastal Defense Force" he persuaded himself as he went into Admiral Lee Sun Shin's quarters.Soulcalibur II[]
In-game Profile
Mina began training with the zanbatou at an early age and grew to be a skilled warrior.
During that time, Lee Dynasty Korea was clamoring about for Soul Edge, known to them as the Sword of Salvation. Hwang Sung Kyung was recruited from the Seung dojo to search for the renowned weapon.
When Mina found out about this, she disobeyed her father's orders and ran away from home on a quest to find the sword. Unfortunately for Mina, Hwang dragged her back home when he found her. Shortly thereafter, she was forced to restart her arduous training.
One day, Yunsung--who was a student of the dojo--left with one of the Seung Family's heirlooms called White Storm. Because Mina was the one that had lent the sword to him, she felt obligated to bring Yunsung and White Storm back to the dojo.
Han Myong was resistant at first, but he eventually gave in, out of fear that she would run away for a third time if he did not allow her to go.
By the time Han Myong realized that Mina would get involved with the search for the Sword of Salvation once again, she was already out of the country.
Soulcalibur III[]
In-game Profile
Seong Mi-na traveled throughout the Ming Empire in search of Hong Yun-seong, a pupil from the Seong dojo, and Soul Edge, known as the Sword of Salvation.
A chance encounter led her to learn the origin of her staff fighting style--the Ling-Sheng Su temple. She grew interested in the temple, but it turned out that Ling-Sheng Su had been destroyed several years prior. Seong Mi-na, however, managed to find a cave temple in which lived the former master of the Ling-Sheng Su temple.
That man, Edgemaster [sic], had suffered an injury and was now resting his body.
Despite this, he gave in to the persistent Mi-na and agreed to face off against her.
...She suffered total defeat.
No matter how many times she attacked, she received a decisive blow after trading only a few strikes. They were on completely different levels. Seeing her frustration, the old man suggested that she spend some time training here. Mi-na gladly accepted his offer.
During her training, Mi-na spoke of the goal of her journey and Soul Edge. Upon doing so, the man told her the truth about Soul Edge, that it was a cursed sword that devours souls...
Mi-na was shocked, but she knew that a man like him would not lie. She had to let Yun-seong know...
There was no time to waste. She thanked Edgemaster [sic] for all he had done for her and hurriedly prepared for her journey.
"I'll be back soon!"
She bid a cheerful farewell to the old man and put the sword master's hermitage behind her.
Soulcalibur IV[]
Soul Edge drove its wielders mad and harvested the souls of all who drew near. The sword was a destroyer of nations!
So said the hermit sword master of the mountain temple, and Seong Mi-na was shaken to the core. She thought about Yun-seong, who had been like a younger brother to her. He must still be searching for Soul Edge, ignorant of the truth she had just learned. She had to find him and warn him!
In Istanbul, the city where East meets West, Mi-na found Yun-seong. She admonished him, "Soul Edge is an evil power that brings only disaster. There's no way that thing will save our country!" It had been some time since Yun-seong had been subjected to Mi-na's scolding, and while he listened to her without voicing dissent, his face clearly showed he felt otherwise. By the next morning, he had disappeared.
Mi-na shook her head in disgust. Then Talim, the young girl with whom Yun-seong had traveled, spoke to her, "He's headstrong, but a good person. In the end, I'm sure he'll make the right decision." As she listened to what Talim said, Mi-na could tell Yun-seong's journey had matured him. He had left to continue his quest. She had to follow him, so that she could be at his side and help him make the right choice when the time came.
Talim told her of a second sword that was Soul Edge's direct opposite. Could that be the Sword of Salvation? No matter; time was running short. She had to hurry to Ostrheinsburg, stronghold of the Azure Knight who held Soul Edge, and find Yun-seong before it was too late!
Soul Edge drove its wielders mad and harvested the souls of all who drew near. The sword was a destroyer of nations!
So said the hermit sword master of the mountain temple and Seong Mi-na was shaken to the core. For many years she had pursued Soul Edge, always believing that its power was just, that it was the savior of her nation. All that time, only to be told that the sword was pure evil?
It was unthinkable, but Mi-na knew the old man spoke the truth. He hada persuasiveness that hinted at a wisdom accumulated over untold years.
Mi-na took her leave of the old master and left the temple. She thought about Hong Yun-seong again. He had been a student at her father's Seong Dojang. But more than a fellow student, he had been like a younger brother to her. He must still be searching for Soul Edge, ignorant of the truth she had just learned! She had to find him and warn him, but how? There was only one way: she, too, would follow the trail of Soul Edge, and eventually her path would surely cross that of Yun-seong. There was not a moment to lose. She had to reach him before he found the sword!
Istanbul, a cultural melting pot bridging the worlds of Asia and Europe. Here, in the city where East meets West, Mi-na picked up Yun-seong’s trail. She learned of a youth, accompanied by a young girl, who had pestered a sailor from Egypt in a bar for rumors and information about Soul Edge. The youth carried a sword that reflected the deepest feelings of its wielder. When she heard this, Mi-na knew immediately that the sword was White Storm, which she had given to Yun-seong.
For weeks Mi-na searched the ships returning from Egypt until at last she found him. But without even allowing Yun-seong a moment to enjoy their reunion, she immediately launched into a lecture.
It had been some time since Yun-seong had been subjected to Mi-na’s scolding, which perhaps increased his reaction, for while he listened to her without dissent, his face clearly showed otherwise. By the next morning, he had disappeared.
“He scurries away like a rabbit,” sighed Mi-na. Talim, the young girl with whom Yun-seong had traveled, spoke to her.
“He’s headstrong, but a good person. In the end, I'm sure he'll make the right decision.”
Talim, too, had sensed the danger of Soul Edge and had tried to warn Yun-seong. But he refused to be swayed, and remained determined to complete his quest and see the sword for himself, with his own eyes. However, upon seeing the scars in Egypt left by Soul Edge’s passing, Yun-seong had appeared deep in thought.
Mi-na couldn't help but admire Yun-seong’s strength of conviction. Back in the days of the Dojang, he was a boastful student, overly proud of his raw, untried skills, but it seemed that his journey had matured him. Yun-seong had left to continue his quest. She had to follow him, so that she could be at his side and help him make the right choice when the time came.
Mi-na and Talim shared what they knew. Talim told her of a vision she had had of a sword that was Soul Edge’s complete opposite. Mi-na was fascinated by the story. If such a weapon did exist, then perhaps it could be the sword of Salvation? Talim noted that such enormous power, whether wielded for good or evil, was extremely dangerous. But still, if such a weapon existed, and if it was capable of defeating Soul Edge, could Mi-na really afford to ignore it altogether?
Mi-na left Talim, and continued her pursuit of Yun-seong. Asking at every inn and town about Soul Edge and the weapon that could defeat it, she traveled on; her journey taking her further and further west. She found no trace of the weapon of which Talim had spoken, but she continued to draw closer and closer to the cursed sword. The information she gathered was leading her toward the Azure Knight, who had once again appeared in Ostrheinsburg in the Holy Roman Empire. The sword that he wielded had to be Soul Edge. The terrible stories surrounding the knight himself, the destructive power of his sword, the inhuman horde that served him—all were ominous signs worthy of the cursed sword. And she also heard of swordsmen and warriors who seemed mysteriously drawn to Ostrheinsburg, like moths to a flame.
Mi-na still had not found the power that would enable her to defeat the cursed sword, but it was too late for that now. Yun-seong had to be ahead of her. Perhaps he was already in Ostrheinsburg. She had to hurry!
Mi-na began to run. She had to find Yun-seong before it was too late! [2]Fighting Style[]
Seong Mi-na fights with a halberd pole type weapon, called a wol do (Korean), guan dao (Chinese), naginata (Japanese), or zanbatou (in-game), and thus benefits from maximum spacing between herself and her opponent. She is equipped with some of the longest non-projectile attacks in the game. A fair amount of her attacks increase in damage depending on how far away her opponent is at the point of impact. To facilitate adequate spacing, Seong Mi-na has fast stepping, as well as a handful of sequences in which she will jump or dash back at the end of an attack. At times when she can't space away from her opponents, she has a few attacks at short-range with auto guard impact properties to reduce pressure. With all of these factors, Seong Mi-na is most effective at long-range and decent and mid-range. Although she has many long range attacks, most are very linear and a wary opponent could feasibly evade them quite easily via sidestepping, though this requires fast anticipation and/or reaction time. Seong Mi-na has a decent array of low attacks to utilize, most of them relatively slow horizontal strikes however. Though she has a wide variety of armor punishing attacks, as well as one of the most powerful unblockable attacks in the game, Seong Mi-na is generally regarded by the Soulcalibur community as being a low-tier character.
Soulcalibur IV[]
Seong Style Longsword + Rod Arrangement[]
The esteemed Seong Dojang in Korea, Mi-na is the only daughter of its head sensei, Seong Han-myeong. Since she was young, she has been trained in the use of the Longsword and literally grew up with the Seong-Style family Longsword technique. On a quest to find the Soul Edge, the sword she believed would save her country, she meets with other great world champions. Feeling somewhat weak in comparison to them, she set out on a journey where she gained great experience and learned many new techniques. She refused to reveal her secrets to a man who tried to force her to do so, and he took a sacred sword from the temple and left with it. Her fate is intertwined deeply with the Soul Edge, and her mastery of the staff technique learned from the lost Ling-Sheng Su Temple helped her in her journey.[2]

You won't be able to save anyone wielding that wicked power!" She then readies her sword and says to him "Come, it's time to teach you one last lesson!"
The text-only epilogue states this: When she finally settled everything, she returned home with a smile. Upon returning she is deemed as a national hero and begins training the younger generation with Hwang.
Critical Finish[]
Seong's Blazing Heaven's Wheel: In Seong Mi-na's Critical Finish, she throws her opponent into the air using her weapon, twirls them up high with flames then throws them back down and pushes her weapon through her opponent's heart. However when performing this critical finisher on Yoda she performs her unblockable attack on him as her finisher.
Weapon Arts[]
Heavenly Crystal Smasher: This Weapon Art consists of three different consecutive moves. Seong Mi-na begins with her Heaven's Wheel attack, after which the opponent bounces off the ground, then comes her Spring Splash Esoterica, the enemy is thrown even higher in the air, and at last, time slows down, as Mi-na spins her sword engulfed by colored flame above her head in animation, saying "How's... this!", and delivers the final blow, that smashes the opponent back to the ground and stuns him. If the last strike, which seem to be her new move, is landed successfully, it's accompanied with a tremor and explosion of yellow dust. It's interesting, that yellow glow, as it usually does, appears at the very beginning of the move, but white sparkles around character's feet appear only before the last strike. On the whole, there are five hits in this Weapon Art. It goes on only if the second strike of Heaven's Wheel hits the enemy, and since it's the second one that matters, the range of the attack may be considered middle. However, if the enemy is open or in mid-air and rather close to you, that doesn't mean that you'll hit him. This can be put down to a slow start or a tricky first strike of Heaven's Wheel, but the truth remains the same: it's very challenging to extend a combo with this Weapon Art. It turns into a combo only if the opponent is high in the air. By the way, if you catch the enemy with the Weapon Art in mid-air, the additional hit sound is heard when the enemy's hit against the ground by the second strike of Heaven's Wheel. The other drawback is that due to numerous conjunctions between the moves, almost every successive attack may miss and if it does, the next one won't be performed. It happens more often when you're close to the wall. To be precise, it's only the first blow of Heaven's Wheel and the first kick of Spring Splash Esoterica that doesn't matter. It may occur, that only first strike is delivered, and the second one misses, as Mi-na jumps over the enemy. Nonetheless, you can feel free to activate it when you find yourself trapped by the series of the enemy's attacks, because you won't be stopped for sure. It won't work on lying opponents, won't hit them against the wall and owing to unpleasant start, it's better to use it after the first or the second hit of Circular Heaven Spin Kick, during enemy's attacks or even randomly, because if it's blocked, you won't get punished. After the last strike it's possible to add several hits, as the enemy is lying stunned on the ground for some time. If it's guarded against, only Heaven's Wheel will be performed.
Seong's Crushing Long Blade: Basically, this is her single Unblockable Attack now turned into a Break Attack. When Mi-na climbs up her sword and says "Dodge... this!", the camera zooms in and time freezes for a while. A successful blow, as that of the previous Weapon Art, results in smashing the opponent down with a tremor and a yellow dust explosion. The range of this attack is medium, its start is slow. Luckily, there's no way you can be stopped after activating this Weapon Art. While Mi-na is climbing up, the enemy can keep on attacking and walk around. The attack will work regardless of the enemy position (apparently direction of the move adapts automatically), unless he walks under Seong Mi-na's sword. It will lead to a miss, and the enemy will be right behind you, so you'd rather not use it at a very short distance. You can hit standing, flying or lying opponents with this move, though in any case you won't be able to create a combo after it, as the enemies won't be stunned. It won't make them hit the wall either and it's hard to continue a combo with it, due to a slow start. In case it's blocked, it causes a Guard Burst, that's why it's even safe to use it randomly, but as any Guard Burst Weapon Art, it isn't very damaging.
Dance of Binoculars Cranes: That's a long version of Heavy Crane attack and the last two hits of Dancing Crane. Seong Mi-na twists her sword vertically, swapping her hands in the attack and saying "Now...", then delivers one horizontal attack and right after that time slows down, as she says 'It's over!", before unleashing the last vertical Break Attack, that sends the opponent high in the air. His fall also inflicts damage, so there are ten hits all together and none of them stun the enemy. At the beginning, Mi-na pushes a little forward, which makes the range of the move medium, though as the attack continues, she keeps moving forth. This Weapon Art has an incredible ability to hit the enemy in mid-air for a prolonged period of time. Sometimes even all of the attacks will be landed on the opponent, not letting him fall until the last strike. It has a very quick start, which enables you to interrupt the opponent's attacks. It's easy to extend a combo with that move, considering the fact that it works nicely on the opponent in the air, though you should keep in mind, that it won't work if the opponent's on the ground and won't make him hit the wall. However, it perfectly extends a wall combo .You'll be able to make some combos after it's performed too. If some of its attacks misses, or everything is blocked, the Weapon Art will go on nonetheless. Only few opponents will guard until the end, so don't be afraid to use it whenever you like, as the last Break Attack won't let you get punished (though the strongest opponents may attack you between the last strike and the previous horizontal one).
Kong's Thrusting Barrage: This extended version of Fang Barrage consists of twelve not stunning thrusting hits and the thirteen long-distanced Twin Fang Thrust from SCIII (its last hit). As Seong Mi-na delivers a fourth blow, the camera starts going round her and the opponent, and when her final strike makes the enemy fall, time slows down a little, as the enemy is slowly falling. At the end of the move Mi-na says "Good night!". The attack range of this Weapon Art is long, because as it starts, the character rushes forward, and the move itself can be performed at a distance. Its start is quick and yet not very safe. If you don't want to waste you Weapon Art, you'd better not try interrupting the opponent's attacks with it. In terms of chaining, this move has something in common with Hilde's Weapon Art called Holy Principle. It simply misses, if the enemy is lying idle, but in other cases this move changes its length. if the enemy is attacked in mid-air, it turns into five hit combo with four thrusting hits and the same final blow. The first strike makes him fall, but with half of his body still in mid-air, four other attacks land successfully. The same happens if the enemy is initially in that state (partially on the ground) or rolling after being attacked. If the enemy is lying stunned on the ground, it's possible, that some of the five hits will be landed. If the enemy is guarding against it or it misses completely, only five moves will be performed. The Weapon Art goes to its full length only when the forth hit is landed successfully on a standing opponent. At the end of a short version of a move Seong Mi-na says "How's this!". It's pretty easy to extend a combo with it, although after a move, even considering the possibility of a wall hit after the final strike, you have no chances to make any guaranteed combo. However, if your opponents is guarding till the fifth strike, you won't be punished for certain.
Thunderous Iron Claw: That's a combination of four different moves. This Weapon Art begins with six hits of Zanba-tou Smackdown, which stuns the opponent, and then come three single slow-motioned moves, the first of which is Iron Chin Strike from SCIII, then goes Heaven Fall from SCII and the finishing launcher move is Rising Void also from SCII. The fall is damaging too, so there are ten hits all in all. At the beginning Mi-na says "Where're you going?" and then the camera's angle changes each time she delivers a new blow. The attack range is medium, but you should be careful with the distance, as it may occur, that a few last hits of Zanba-tou Smackdown will miss. If that happens, the other moves won't be performed. Actually, only the last of the six strikes has to be delivered for the Weapon Art to continue. Its is extremely hard to extend a combo with that attack, as its starts pretty slow and high attacks are hard to make a combo with. If it misses, or it's blocked, then only the first six hits will be performed. The same happens if you catch the enemy in mid-air, and indeed, it doesn't hit enemies on the ground. After the last hit is made, you can create some guaranteed combos, but there are no chances of a wall hit. Since this Weapon Art can be fully performed only on standing opponents, it's sensible to use it after the first or the second hit of Circular Heaven Spin Kick. Don't be afraid of activating it when you're ambushed by the enemy's attacks, as you surely won't be stopped. Probably, these are the best ways of using it, because if you activate it randomly, most of the opponents will guard or crouch. If it's blocked, you won't get punished.
