The Shadows are Voldo's servants in Soulcalibur IV. In Voldo's Story Mode, he is accompanied by a shadow for the first three stages, but then the shadow is unable to continue after beating Scheherazade. In Shura's Story Mode, after she defeats Voldo and a few shadows on the second stage, a shadow follows her, feeling that she is a stronger presence. However it may be the fact that a demon is within Shura.

- It is unknown if Shadows are demons or humans.
- The Shadow's voice clip consists of grunts and sounds, the same used on other characters like Will 'O The Wisp, Shadow Master, and Keres, among others. These are the same sounds as Inferno, who was not present as a character in Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV.
- When their helmets are broken, it is shown that like Voldo, they are bald.
- They also have dark skin.
- Shadows use Voldo's fighting style and the Cat Claws as a weapon.
