Nightmare's weapon in Soulcalibur II.
Soul Edge (Complete) (ソウルエッジ(完全体)), the form that the evil sword takes after recovering all of its fragments, including Soul Calibur, and becoming whole once more.
The complete form of the antagonistic sword has two appearances Soul series so far. In Soulcalibur II, as an unlockable weapon for every playable character in the game. It would appear again in Soulcalibur III as a massive zweihānder with a row of jagged teeth stretching down its blade, wielded by Night Terror. Although not officially stated to be the complete form of Soul Edge, a smaller version of Night Terror's sword would be used by Nightmare in his 2P outfit in Soulcalibur IV.
Variants[]
Every single playable character in Soulcalibur II, not just Nightmare, had an unlockable "Soul Edge (Complete)" weapon. Each version of Soul Edge took the form of that character's signature weapon and was made entirely out of organic material with teeth and eyes being a common feature.

Complete versions of the Soul weapon - without the wicked blade being in control - have also appeared in the series. In Soulcalibur IV, Kilik can wield the Embrace of Souls, while in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, Siegfried can wield the complete Soul sword under the name Broken Destiny.
Trivia[]
- As Soulcalibur II gives every playable character a variant of Soul Edge (Complete), this results in characters who are of pure heart, such as Talim and Link, being able to wield Soul Edge (Complete). Although rare, technically anyone with a strong enough will can wield the evil sword.
- Many of each characters' individual Soul Edge (Complete) designs would appear in later games under a different name, usually being referred to simply as "Soul Edge". Notable exceptions are:
- Mitsurugi's design being reused for his Pandemonium weapon in Soulcalibur Legends.
- Raphael's design being slightly modified for Amy's Soul Edge in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur Broken Destiny.
- Talim's design being reused for one of the blades for her Soul Edge & Soul Calibur weapon in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur Broken Destiny.
