Soul Edge (ソウルエッジ?) is Sophitia's ultimate weapon in Soulcalibur IV and in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. The sword shape has not been altered to a noticeable extent, but it's still Soul Edge nonetheless and does appear to have the sword's physical traits (blood stained, hanging flesh etc.) The shield in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny has a mouth design similar to Nightmare's Soul Edge (2P) that he has in those games.
This weapon is also used by Pyrrha and Pyrrha Ω in Soulcalibur V, but the weapon's appearance is greatly altered.

Soul Edge (♂), Soul Edge (♀): After being destroyed 17 years ago, Soul Edge pondered the idea of consciously maintaining the same form and discovered a new way to preserve itself. Still, the fact remained that Soul Edge was only able to unleash its true potential when it changed into a form that suited its wielder. As such, if Soul Edge hoped to devour souls efficiently, it would have to find a worthy host and change its form accordingly.
When Soul Edge encountered its new host, Pyrrha, it was delighted to find that the fragment embedded inside of her carried with it memories of the female warrior who had previously destroyed the cursed blade. Soul Edge instinctively realized that if this new host possessed knowledge of that same technique, she would prove to be the ultimate weapon against Soul Calibur. For this reason, Soul Edge happily changed its form to suit Pyrrha's abilities.
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate[]
Soul Edge appears in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate as one of Sophitia's Big Star weapons, alongside Soul Calibur. Interestingly, the one that Sophitia uses in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate uses the same design as the one that Pyrrha has in Soulcalibur V, rather than the one Sophitia can use in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur Broken Destiny.

- Sophitia, Maxi, and Yun-Seong are the only good-aligned characters that wield Soul Edge as their weapon.
- The one that appears in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny uses the same design that Sophitia's Soul Edge (Complete) had in Soulcalibur II.
