Welcome to Soulcalibur Wiki[]
The Soulcalibur Wiki is a wiki based upon the Soul series of fighting games. We are working to build a comprehensive and collaborative encyclopedia that thoroughly documents all the games within the Soulcalibur series. The wiki can be edited by anyone, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help build our database and grow our community of editors and fans of the series.
The Soulcalibur Wiki has information on all aspects of the Soul series, such as biographies on characters, information of the various weapons, information on the stages, articles on the games, and lots of other small and large aspects of the game. It also contains a large amount of fanon.
History[]
The Soulcalibur Wiki was started on May 12, 2007, eleven years after the release of Soul Edge and a year before the release of Soulcalibur IV. The Wiki was originally founded by Siegfriedschtauffen. The Wiki grew over time, developing more and more Users who helped expand the Wiki by adding more articles, templates, and more. Despite having thousands of articles about the games and everything in them, the work of expanding and improving the wiki is never over.
The Soulcalibur Wiki was originally for canon content only, in August 2009 the Wiki merged with the Soulcalibur Fanon Wiki. Today there are thousands of fanon articles on this Wiki, under the fanon namespace.
As of April 2015 the Soulcalibur Wiki began to decline in edits, and by May 2015 there was only one active Admin left. The last active Admin was Highwayman Myth, who made JaseyJasee an Admin and then left shortly after. JaseyJasee adopted this Wiki August 15, 2015 and has since made many new changes to the Wiki. These changes include bringing the new Forums to the Wiki, as well as the Message Wall and Comments section. As well as many other new small features to the Wiki. Since August 2015 the Wiki has slightly been increasing in Users and edits.
Useful Information[]
- The Soulcalibur Wiki is part of the Wikia network of wikis. This relationship with Wikia allows us to spend less time working on technical behind-the-scenes work, and instead allows us to focus our efforts on improving the encyclopedia.
- The overwhelming majority of our articles can be edited by anyone whether they register an account or not. However, we encourage editors to create a free account on the Wikia network. Accounts provide many benefits, including IP address anonymity, and the potential to become engaged in the wiki community and attain special rights and privileges.
- The Soulcalibur Wiki has a collection of Policies which govern behavior and content on the wiki.
- The Soulcalibur Wiki has contributors from all around the world, in many different time zones. As a result, all times and dates on the wiki (unless otherwise stated) are given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC); UTC is typically the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
