Stigma Sword & Arcadia Shield (スティグマソード＆アルカディアシールド?) is Patroklos' default weapon in Soulcalibur V. The shield also seems to act as the sword's scabbard. It appears that the Arcadia Shield has quite a very similar design to his mother's shield design for the Elk Shield and Orichalcum except for the color contrasts of red and gold.
The Stigma Sword was forged by Patroklos himself under the guidance of his father. The Arcadia Shield was the last weapon ever created by Rothion. Rothion claimed the shield was created from divine ore from Hephaestus, just like Sophitia's own weapons. He designed the symbol of an elk on this shield as well, representing the goddess Artemis. Patroklos was unable to ask his father if it truly was a shield of the gods, as Rothion soon died from illness, though he felt certain it was true.
During the events of Soulcalibur V, the Arcadia Shield was destroyed by Z.W.E.I.. It is unknown what has happened to the Stigma Sword, as Patroklos abandoned it after Siegfried gave him Soul Calibur.
Profile[]
Despite exerting great efforts toward his swordsmanship training on a daily basis, Patroklos never let that interfere with assisting his father at the forge. The Stigma Sword is a weapon Patroklos forged himself under guidance from his father.
When Patroklos returned home from his training quest, he realized that the Stigma Sword had been further enhanced to the point where it could be called a masterpiece. Even as the illness ate away at his mind and body, Rothion had desired to aid his son in some form.
Considering the fate of his beloved wife, daughter, and sister-in-law, Rothion had always suffered from a reputation as a coward who failed to protect those closest to him. Still, Rothion fought his own battle in silence, which was to raise his son and help him in any way possible.
Patroklos cast himself upon the field of battle with this meaningful sword in hand, certain that the bond between himself and his father would be the keen edge that would win vengeance for his family at last.

- Stigma (ϛ) is a ligature of the Greek letters sigma (Σ) and tau (Τ), which was used in writing Greek between the Middle Ages and the 19th century. It is also used as a numeral symbol for the number 6.
- The elk symbol on the shield is what allows Patroklos to identify his sister, as the same symbol is on her shield.
