The translation of her name is wrong. Order of words is important in japanese. "God of the eroding slash" would be Mushi(bami)-kiri-kami. The actual order implies translation as "god-slashing erosion" or "god-killing eclipse". At any rate, the name is a play on words or kanji: Kamikirimushi is a kind of insect, translated as the long-horned beetle. It's spelled 髪切虫, which literally means "hair-cutting bug".
