The Ancient (古キ者?) is one of Maxi's weapons in Soulcalibur III.
This weapon is the version of The Ancient that is used by Maxi and Olcadan (when he uses his moveset).
Olcadan is able to use this weapon at the start (alongside everybody else's The Ancient). However, Maxi's version of The Ancient needs to be unlocked. There are two ways of doing this:
- The easiest method is to finish all missions in Maxi's Tutorial.
- The harder method is to defeat Olcadan in Maxi's Tales of Souls mode.

- This weapon resembles Maxi's weapon Modified Flail from Soulcalibur II, and Tetsuryu in Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and Soulcalibur VI.
