Tricks & Lies (都合の良い噂＆見せかけの金貨?) are Dampierre's primary weapon in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and his only weapon in Soulcalibur V, where they were now called Useful rumors and counterfeit currency[1][note 1]
Dual spring-loaded cases with hidden daggers inside, although not similar to Ezio's hidden blades, Dampierre uses their unpredictability to his advantage.

Tricks & Lies are Dampierre's primary weapons in Soulcalibur Broken Destiny. There are two versions of it in the game (a 1P and 2P variant) and both are unlocked at the start.

No matter how successful Dampierre gets, he never underestimates the value of good preparation. Even when he unwittingly stepped foot into Nightmare's stronghold 17 years ago, it was he "preparation" hidden in his sleeve that saved his life. Whether for justice or other reasons, Dampierre knew that only a fool would put himself in the path of danger without first giving thought to the proper preparations.
While crude barbarians went around swinging their vulgar weapons, a true gentleman needed only a single thrust of his hidden "insurance policy".
