Unknown Forest: Dark Night (人知れぬ森・暗夜?) is Raphael's stage in Soulcalibur V. It is the same as the Unknown Forest stage; however, the battle takes place at night long after the sun has set. The dark forest is feared by humans, as it is thought of as a gathering spot for those lost to oblivion, where souls go after living and dying...

Humans have an inherent fear of the forest at night. It is a place for the forgotten, for those who have lost themselves to oblivion... a place where the soul goes after it has lived and died.[1]

- "The game planner told me to get rid of all the animals, but I felt that made the stage feel too empty so I left an owl in there. You can hear the owl drawing attention to its lonely presence with its hollow cries."

- In Soulcalibur V's story mode, Patroklos encounters and fights Tira in this forest.
- All animals from the daytime version of the stage are absent except for the owl.
- In Arcade and Quick Battle modes, it is Viola's stage.
