"Legendary weapon. Wield it to discover its true power!"
Soulcalibur II Weapon Gallery description.

Valkyrie was Sophitia's ultimate weapon in Soul Blade and later became Cassandra's ultimate weapon in Soulcalibur II and Soulcalibur III, as well as a weapon for Abelia and any custom characters who use the "Sword & Shield" discipline.

Soulcalibur II

Offense: 135% Defense: 130%

Note: Valkyrie allows through 40% of damage from blocked attacks, and restores health over time.

Description: A divine sword and shield bearing the name of the maidens of war from Northern European mythology. They are said to have been left behind on earth by one of the maidens when she descended from heaven. It is said that one who wields it will be filled with courage and that their true potential will shine forth, but mere humans cannot make full use of their real power.

Soulcalibur IV

Valkyrie is still one of Cassandra's weapons in Soulcalibur IV, though it is no longer her ultimate weapon. It can be bought in Character Creation for 9,000 Gold after completing Story Mode with Cassandra.

  • Appearance wise, the pair are taken from the weapons wielded by the heroine of the Namco game Legend of Valkyrie.
  • The weapon is usually given to a "Lenneth" Soulcalibur IV custom character, as Valkyrie Profile seems to be often referenced with Cassandra's second outfit.
  • This weapon set also makes a return in SoulCalibur: Lost Swords for Pyrrha and Sophitia's weapons.
